Life's is everything. You can compare it with almost anything. For example, Life's a clock. It ends when there's no battery. As long as there's a battery, Life will not end.
Life's a ballpen. It ends when there's no ink. When the ink's gone, it's either you're going to be recycled (live another day) or thrown in the dumpster (die).
