What's up with people who don't want to help?

"HELP! HELP!" a little girl cried inside a burning building at 3rd Street.

It was 9:37 P.M. that night. People around me just shouted and on one really cared on saving the poor girl. Yeah, there were fire fighters! But, they can't get in. The front door was blocked with fallen objects from the inside. Maybe, it's just an unfortunate day for the young girl. Her family cried helplessly. No one really cared.

Inside the burning building, a man was there also trapped with the girl. He heard her screams and shouts and so he followed the voice. He then found the young girl, sitting by the corner of her flaming room. The man carried the girl and went to an open window. Everyone was shocked upon seeing the two in the window. It was a 7-story building. They were at the fifth. The fire fighters got their trampoline and deployed it near the two for them to jump safely. And so, they jump and the little girl's family was very, very happy and very thankful. Her mom thanked the man. Unfortunately for the fire fighters, they didn't extinguished the fire and let the building to collapsed.

The fire started at the 4th floor were a short circuit occurred from a room. The fire spread quickly. People panicked. They tried to save their furnitures and stuff. But the young girl got trapped inside her own room. The man was just two rooms away from the girl. He also got trapped in his room and later got his way through it and found the girl.

The man was in the news. He was in news papers, radios, TV, and the internet. He was well-known at his place. The mayor also gave him a medal of bravery for sparing the young girl's life. But, the man died of an accident in Highway 54. He was driving soundly along the way when some car smacked another vehicle and it twirled along the road, pushing anything in its path, causing the freak accident. All of the people in his town attended his funeral. Everyone cried and wished that someone could've saved him.

The point is that we should help others in need. No matter how big or small is the problem, we should lend a helping hand to him or her. The help you will give will get back at you. KARMA lang yan. Good karma. Kaya, why not help others? Why not help an old woman cross the street? Why not help a person carry his/her heavy groceries? Why? Ano ba ang problema? Nahihiya? Anong nakahihiya dun? Tutulungan ka nga eh. It would be more embarrassing if you noticed the person, but didn't really do anything to help. Kaya, tulungan ang dapat tulungan. :)
